Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the activities of drivers, trucks, and containers to ensure efficient and prompt service to customers. This role will also involve weighing inbound and outbound materials, ensuring accurate loading and unloading of materials, and communicating with customers to resolve any issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch and Route Management: Dispatch drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers' locations, and loads to balance cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding company-established goals by successfully routing vehicles.
  • Customer Communication: Handle incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments, and manage requests for all pick-up or delivery on any container movement within the area.
  • Issue Resolution: Initiate communication to customers while drivers are on-site, resolve pick-up and other issues delaying service, and update and inform Customer Care of any service delays.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, update, and dispense daily route schedules, gather and maintain route sheet documentation for pick-ups, route completions, and driver locations, and report driver performance issues or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, legally eligible to work in the US, and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: High attention to detail, excellent multi-tasking skills, excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to prioritize.
