Benchmark Spruce Point Inn is a unique resort that combines rich heritage with stunning natural beauty, nestled between the woods and the sea. Our historic Inn has been a favorite destination for travelers worldwide, offering an iconic coastal experience.

As a seasonal resort, the Facilities Operations Manager plays a crucial role, overseeing the property year-round with a more flexible schedule during the off-peak season.

Key Responsibilities:

The Facilities Operations Manager will lead the facilities department, addressing operational needs and coordinating necessary improvements. This includes:

  • Implementing and managing facilities operations to enhance systems and processes
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure a safe and appealing environment for guests and staff
  • Overseeing daily operations of the facilities team and maintaining the physical property
  • Managing capital planning and budget projections
  • Coordinating vendor services and monitoring contracts
  • Establishing a preventive maintenance program for all facilities and equipment

Essential Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Life Safety regulations
  • Experience in maintaining major building systems
  • Ability to manage cosmetic repairs and maintenance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Capability to interact positively with guests, staff, and contractors
  • Proficiency in prioritizing multiple tasks and working effectively in a team
  • Ability to work independently when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records related to Facilities/Engineering
  • Participate in managerial meetings and respond to maintenance requests efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations

Work Environment:

This role requires working in various areas of the property, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve working in different weather conditions. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is necessary.
