Job Description

Overview

Bluebird Ocean Point Inn is seeking a seasoned Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our coastal Maine resort. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and vision for the hotel's operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
    • Lead and manage a team of department heads, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Revenue Growth and Profitability
    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue growth
    • Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control
  • Guest Experience and Quality
    • Oversee the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met, including cleanliness, maintenance, and amenities
  • Operational Efficiency and Risk Management
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a similar coastal resort setting
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing guest experiences
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
