Urology Associate Representative

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative will serve as the face of Urology Associates CO, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for all patients. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts and documents according to nurse direction.
  • Greet patients and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ensure HIPAA regulations are followed at all times.
  • Accurately and completely enter demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays or amounts due from patients.
  • Schedule patients for follow-up appointments and recall appointments.
  • Distribute patient education materials and test/lab order slips as needed.
  • Ensure patients have contact information for procedures/tests to be scheduled.
  • Review and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist physicians with locating information as needed.
  • Break down charts throughout the day and scan/index new information.
  • Prepare charts for the next day and correct usual providers as needed.
  • Settle credit card machine and balance at the end of the day.
  • Complete closing duties, including locking money bags and preparing transport envelopes.
  • Straighten the front lobby as needed.
  • Train front desk staff on new procedures and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure success.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure daily completion of responsibilities.
  • Assist the manager with additional tasks as delegated.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Scheduling and front office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Phreesia, Veradigm (Allscripts) PM and EMR system experience preferred but willingness to train is a must.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push/pull, lift light objects less than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform gross body coordination, such as walking, stooping, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to perform simple motor skills and manipulative skills, such as typing and writing.
  • Ability to sit for long periods and walk/stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to remain in uncomfortable positions for long periods, such as bending over equipment.
  • Ability to read computer screens and hear normal sounds with some background noise.

Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to process great amounts of information and apply strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and multitask effectively.

Travel Requirements:

  • Daily/weekly travel between office locations for assignments and/or meetings.
  • Occasional travel for meetings or conferences.
