Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records in accordance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and be able to analyze and interpret medical records to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to educate them on documentation requirements and best practices
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical records
  • Monitor and report on compliance metrics to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Provide training and support to staff on medical records management and compliance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in health information management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
