About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist I to join our team in Louisville, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing medical records requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Prepare new patient charts, gathering documents and information from paper sources and/or electronic health records.
  • Ensure medical records are assembled in standard order and are accurate and complete.
  • Respond to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
  • Answer inbound/outbound calls and may assist with patient walk-ins.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong customer service and clerical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
