Job Summary

The Supervisor, Health Information Technology, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of personnel in Norton Healthcare's medical records department(s). This includes monitoring daily operations, developing and tracking individual performance, ensuring excellent front-line customer service, coaching and mentoring staff, and addressing staff behavior, work performance, attendance, and tardiness as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily operations and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and track individual performance, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Ensure excellent front-line customer service and address any issues promptly.
  • Address staff behavior, work performance, attendance, and tardiness as appropriate.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of personnel in the medical records department(s).
Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in Health Information Management or Health Information Technology.
  • Associate Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
  • One of the following certifications: RHIA or RHIT.
  • Desired: One year of supervisory experience and a Bachelor Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
