Account Executive Job Description

Myriad Women's Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in selling our portfolio of molecular genetic tests to obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell the value of our molecular diagnostic tests and interpretation to physicians, providing education on Myriad science, research, and precision medicine.
  • Training and Education: Provide in-service training to office staff on our products and services.
  • Specimen Acquisition: Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition.
  • Community Engagement: Deliver local talks and arrange peer-to-peer programs to groups interested in learning more about our products and services.
  • Health Plan Coordination: Coordinate with local health plans relevant to our practices.
  • Expense Management: Meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
  • Territory Planning: Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning, including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • CRM Management: Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
  • Regional Meetings: Attend regional meetings and Women's Health conferences as planned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BS/BA degree required, ideally in a related field of study.
  • Experience: 3+ years in the healthcare selling arena of women's health bio-pharma, molecular and/or blood test diagnostics, or capital equipment.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, documented successful track record in sales, history of being a top-level performer in prior roles, proven ability to manage increasing responsibility and sustain growth, in-depth product knowledge, and knowledge of disease states in current field of expertise.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel and do overnights as needed.
  • Professionalism: Models the consultative sales approach, recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills, effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem-solving skills, strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues, working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct, ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales, uses discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation, track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient.
  • Systems and Software: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and CRM, preferably Salesforce.
