Job Summary: Barnes & Thornburg seeks an experienced Employee Relations and Compliance Manager to foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a background in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, and a strong understanding of employment law and labor relations.

Responsibilities will include developing and implementing employee relations programs, managing conflicts and disciplinary matters, and providing support to employees on work environment and performance issues.

The selected candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures, as well as labor laws and regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will be working closely with employees, HR leadership, and other departments.

  • Develop and implement employee relations programs and practices.
  • Manage conflicts and disciplinary matters.
  • Provide support to employees on work environment and performance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of employment law and labor relations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
