Panda Restaurant Group encompasses the original Panda Inn fine dining establishments, Panda Express, our fast-casual gourmet Chinese dining concept, and Hibachi San, our Japanese grill experience.
As a family-owned business, we are still led by our founders, Andrew and Peggy Cherng.Panda provides competitive benefits and fulfilling career paths, ranging from entry-level roles to management positions. Bartender Responsibilities:
Possesses a keen interest in food and beverages with a desire to expand their knowledge. A natural sales professional with an innate ability to interpret customer needs through non-verbal cues and respond promptly. Enthusiastic about exceeding guest expectations and adept at managing multiple tasks. Takes pride in personal appearance and job performance. Accepts guidance well and is eager to learn continuously. Highly sociable and capable of adapting to a diverse clientele. Honest with a strong work ethic and proficient cash handling skills.
Menu Expertise
To provide confident and competent service, each Bartender must possess thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and flavor profiles.
Job Summary:
Adhere to all service protocols.
Familiar with all menu items and able to present them enticingly.
Proactively enhance sales through suggestive selling and complementing guests' meals.
Punctual and prepared for scheduled shifts.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor with colleagues, guests, and management.
Ensure a clean and organized appearance of the service area.
Comply with all sanitation standards.
Assist with any tasks assigned by supervisors.
Operate the P.O.S. system accurately to optimize the guest dining experience.
Provide exceptional service at the bar by consistently preparing drinks according to established recipes.
Knowledgeable about drink names, ingredients, preparation methods, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.
Familiar with all wines by the glass and at least two options from each category on the wine list, covering various price ranges and styles.
Knowledgeable about signature cocktails and able to describe each one.Familiar with specialty liquors (e.g., small-batch bourbon, single malt scotch, cognac, etc.).
Knowledgeable about all food menu descriptions.
Ensure stock levels meet established standards.
Conduct daily inventory and inform servers/managers/bar staff of any unavailable items.
Verify that all guests are at least 21 years of age.
Provide accurate reporting of all income received during shifts.
Sell beverages responsibly, prioritizing guests' best interests.
Maintain a smooth workflow between bar and server requests.
Handle cash and payment transactions accurately.
