We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a key member of our childcare program, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while implementing curriculum and activities that promote youth development and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with our program's curriculum and goals.
- Supervise children and classroom activities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, while promoting our YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- At least 21 years of age.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire date.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
