The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Childcare Assistant Teacher. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in your community. As a Childcare Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting with implementing curriculum, supervising children, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment. Essential Functions of the Childcare Assistant Teacher

  • Assists with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines.
  • Provides a safe and engaging environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Supervises children during activities, including outdoor play and educational programs.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Participates in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma
  2. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) of hire date.
  3. Health form completed within the 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) of hire date; renewed every 3 years.
  4. A desire to work with children in a developmental setting.
