Job Title: Childcare Assistant Teacher

The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our childcare center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children, while promoting a safe and inclusive environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing curriculum and activities that promote learning and development in children.
  • Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on child progress and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective childcare program.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to families and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
  • Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Health form completed within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
