Position Overview:

As an HVAC Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the inspection, operation, and maintenance of all HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems within designated facilities, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Your role will involve maintaining equipment in an energy-efficient and safe manner, minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the onsite Facilities Team, demonstrating technical proficiency in HVAC and refrigeration, as well as being multi-skilled in electrical, plumbing, and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance:
    • Supervise ongoing preventive maintenance and repair tasks for mechanical systems and equipment.
    • Ensure proper operation and repair of HVAC/R systems at assigned locations.
    • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of equipment to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with management on system enhancements and capital projects.
    • Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager regarding work orders and priorities.
    • Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client operations.
    • Respond promptly to emergencies and conduct quality assurance inspections.
  • Training:
    • Evaluate and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
    • Provide hands-on training in maintenance practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Safety:
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Identify and mitigate safety hazards in the workplace.
    • Complete required safety training and participate in EHS initiatives.
  • Administrative:
    • Maintain accurate records of work orders and utilize the Client CMMS system.
    • Coordinate with the Parts/Material Supervisor to ensure availability of necessary tools and supplies.
    • Attend meetings and contribute to discussions on safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years in building engineering with a focus on HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Skills: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Certifications: Certified Technician HVAC License - State of Texas; EPA Universal License.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
