Role Summary: This position entails the direct supervision of custodial staff while ensuring operational support aligns with departmental standards. The role serves as a crucial link between Custodial Services and School Administration.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular facility inspections to uphold cleanliness standards and devise improvement plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines set forth by the District.
- Facilitate training initiatives aimed at reducing operational risks and enhancing staff capabilities.
- Provide specialized training in cleaning techniques, HVAC system operations, and work order submissions.
- Assist with human resource functions, including interviewing, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee dispute resolutions and manage employee disciplinary processes.
- Assess custodial supply and equipment needs, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
- Collaborate with District personnel, contractors, and vendors on various projects and initiatives.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as water damage or severe weather impacts.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to promote clarity and efficiency.
- Manage budgets related to overtime, supplies, and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, cleaning schedules, personnel management, and training activities.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A valid Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of 5 years of custodial experience and 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess basic computer skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and budgeting skills.
