Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to uphold cleanliness standards and devise improvement plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines set forth by the District.
  • Facilitate training initiatives aimed at reducing operational risks and enhancing staff capabilities.
  • Provide specialized training in cleaning techniques, HVAC system operations, and work order submissions.
  • Assist with human resource functions, including interviewing, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee dispute resolutions and manage employee disciplinary processes.
  • Assess custodial supply and equipment needs, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Collaborate with District personnel, contractors, and vendors on various projects and initiatives.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as water damage or severe weather impacts.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to promote clarity and efficiency.
  • Manage budgets related to overtime, supplies, and equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory, cleaning schedules, personnel management, and training activities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of custodial experience and 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and budgeting skills.
