Axient LLC is on the lookout for a Lead Pricing Strategist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Pricing Strategist will play a crucial role in formulating pricing models, developing comprehensive spreadsheets, and preparing cost proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs). This position involves analyzing contract stipulations, unique provisions, and terms to ensure adherence to RFP guidelines and corporate standards.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the proposal team and management to guarantee accurate cost capture, ultimately delivering a competitive and compliant pricing proposal to our clients.

As a vital member of the capture/proposal team, you will assist in crafting the pricing strategy, identifying potential risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements. Key tasks include:
  • Grasping customer needs through RFPs and other requests.
  • Creating realistic cost proposal timelines that align with requirements and deadlines.
  • Leading and participating in price-to-win analyses and processes.
  • Generating detailed pricing using estimates, pricing models, proposal structures, and pricing strategies through MS Excel.

Involvement in Proposal Pricing Process:
  • Developing cost volume completion schedules.
  • Assisting in the formulation of pricing strategies.
  • Coordinating labor and subcontractor efforts, reviewing, analyzing, and compiling cost data.
  • Preparing cost volumes in accordance with RFP specifications.

Additionally, you will support the development and review of subcontractor proposals and participate in pricing reviews to establish pricing structures and strategies.

Collaboration:
You will work alongside the Technical Proposal Manager and Operations team to integrate the basis of estimates and program strategies into a successful proposal. You will also provide guidance to subcontractors involved in proposal preparation and ensure timely completion of cost volume documents that meet RFP requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the government contracting sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government contracting processes and procedures.
  • Experience in pricing various contract types, including FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CFAF, and other cost-reimbursable contract types for government services.
  • Proven expertise in government proposal development.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Excel.
  • Exceptional cost estimating and analytical skills.
  • Strong grasp of pricing concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.
  • Familiarity with FAR regulations.
  • Willingness to accommodate unscheduled extended work hours and non-standard workweeks.
