The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the proposal team and management to guarantee accurate cost capture, delivering a competitive and compliant pricing proposal. This role is crucial in the capture/proposal team, aiding in the development of pricing strategies, identifying potential risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements.

  • Comprehends customer needs through RFPs and other requests.
  • Creates realistic cost proposal timelines that align with requirements and deadlines.
  • Engages in and leads price-to-win analyses and processes.
  • Generates detailed pricing using estimates, pricing models, proposal frameworks, and pricing strategies utilizing MS Excel.
  • Participates in the proposal pricing process, including developing cost volume completion schedules, assisting in pricing strategy formulation, coordinating labor and subcontractor efforts, reviewing, analyzing, and compiling cost data, and preparing cost volumes.
  • Supports the development and review of subcontractor/teammate RFPs.
  • Engages in pricing reviews to establish pricing structures and strategies.
  • Collaborates with the Technical Proposal Manager and Operations team to integrate estimates and program strategies into a successful proposal.
  • Provides guidance to subcontractors involved in proposal preparation.
  • Prepares cost volume documents in compliance with RFP requirements promptly.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the government contracting sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government contracting processes and procedures.
  • Experience in pricing various contract types, including FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CFAF, and other Cost Reimbursable contract types for government services.
  • Proven knowledge of government proposal development.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Exceptional cost estimating and analytical skills.
  • Strong grasp of pricing concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.
  • Familiarity with FAR.
  • Willingness to accommodate unscheduled extended work hours and non-standard workweeks.
