Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Pricing Analyst will play a pivotal role in formulating rates, developing spreadsheets, and crafting price/cost volume responses to requests for proposals (RFPs). This includes analyzing contract stipulations, unique provisions, and terms to ensure alignment with RFP requirements and corporate standards.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the proposal team and management to guarantee that all costs are accurately represented, delivering a competitive and compliant pricing proposal to our clients. Additionally, this role is crucial in the capture/proposal team, contributing to the pricing strategy, identifying potential risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Grasping customer needs through RFPs and other requests.
- Creating feasible cost proposal timelines that align with requirements and deadlines.
- Engaging in and leading price-to-win analyses and processes.
- Producing detailed pricing using estimates, pricing models, proposal structures, and pricing strategies with MS Excel.
- Participating in the proposal pricing process, including developing cost volume completion schedules, assisting in pricing strategy formulation, coordinating labor and subcontract reviews, and compiling cost data.
- Providing support and details for the development and review of subcontractor proposals.
- Engaging in pricing reviews to establish pricing structures and strategies.
- Collaborating with the Technical Proposal Manager and Operations team to integrate basis of estimates and program strategies into a successful proposal.
- Guiding subcontractors involved in proposal preparation.
- Preparing cost volume documents in compliance with RFP requirements promptly.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the government contracting sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of government contracting processes and procedures.
- Experience in pricing various contract types, including FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CFAF, and other cost-reimbursable contract types for government services.
- Proven knowledge of government proposal development.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Exceptional cost estimating and analytical skills.
- Strong grasp of pricing concepts and principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.
- Familiarity with FAR.
- Capability to manage unscheduled extended work hours and non-standard workweeks.
