GENERAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

We are seeking proficient Assemblers to contribute to our operations. Assemblers will work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting to establish work areas and assemble large motors and generators according to customer specifications, with a strong emphasis on Safety and Quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are essential, with additional responsibilities as assigned:

  • Adhere to assembly instructions for inserting, installing, wiring, and connecting components for generators.
  • Utilize computer systems to access part drawings and determine assembly methods for generators.
  • Execute preparation tasks for shipping requirements related to generators.
  • Conduct complex assembly processes, often employing various hand and small power tools.
  • Review work instructions, basic schematics, and setup guidelines for assembly processes.
  • Verify part numbers on components and materials utilized in the assembly process.
  • May involve setting up workstations for staging material kits and basic machine configurations.
  • Regularly inspect work for defects, including visual assessments and the use of measuring instruments.
  • Inform the Team Lead of any quality deviations in products from previous operations or current assembly to ensure defects are identified and rectified before proceeding.
  • Thoroughly complete all necessary documentation and paperwork for parts and processes finalized.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read and understand established safety, quality, and assembly procedures.
  • Previous experience as an assembler in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Consistent attendance record.

SALARY: Starting at $19.00 per hour
