About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our design team at Markent Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating new product designs and modifying existing refrigeration systems and food service products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design new products and modify existing refrigeration systems and food service products
  • Calculate and select necessary refrigeration components, document refrigeration assembly procedures, and provide wire diagrams and other assistance where needed
  • Test, troubleshoot, redesign, and improve products for reliability, performance, and manufacturability
  • Collect and analyze data from tests on prototypes
  • Obtain timely and successful certification of new or revised products through certifying agencies (UL, CSA, ETL & NSF) and oversee DOE compliance of products
  • Review current processes and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiencies, quality, and reduce cost
  • Provide a list of cost reduction projects that will improve manufacturing
  • Assist and write (update) the product specifications and operating manuals
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering is required
  • 5+ years of refrigeration design experience is required, highly preferred is refrigeration design of food equipment
  • Must have some experience with concept to prototype to production
  • New product development experience is highly desired
  • Must have 3D design skills (we use SolidWorks)
  • Must have some knowledge of testing, NSF, UL, CSA, and ETL compliance
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
