Job Overview

As a Financial Strategy Partner, you will collaborate closely with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to establish and monitor project financial baselines. Your role will involve setting labor, material, and management reserve targets that align with our financial goals. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive reporting, analysis, and actionable insights for program managers to ensure optimal project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the work performed by IPT personnel;
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, trackers, and reports for various contract types, sizes, and complexities;
  • Develop and maintain Estimates at Completion (EACs) and conduct thorough cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analyses;
  • Review and evaluate all contract modifications, advising the program management team on necessary impacts;
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, providing analytical support to resolve issues collaboratively with program management, contracts, procurement, and finance/accounting;
  • Monitor billing statuses and unbilled issues, collaborating with Finance, Contracts, Accounting, and PMO to ensure prompt resolution;
  • Ensure program revenue and profit are recorded in compliance with EACs and company financial policies;
  • Support and engage in program reviews;
  • Assess project impacts for periodic rate adjustments;
  • Maintain organized documentation and records for future reference or audits;
  • Assist with internal and external financial audit requests as necessary;
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to engage with engineering, operations, and executive management;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and graphical representations) and familiar with Business Intelligence systems for reporting and analysis;
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Ability to process and analyze large datasets in Excel and synthesize them into management-level reports;
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis concepts such as Return on Sales (ROS), Return on Costs (ROC), revenue and profit forecasting, as well as program baseline data preparation, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricing;
  • Knowledgeable in general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations, and accounting and finance principles;
  • Experienced in the complete lifecycle of a program, from proposal development to contract closure;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to perform effectively under deadlines.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or defense sectors.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.

Security Clearance: U.S. Person status is required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). Eligibility for security clearance may be necessary.
