Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Operations will serve as the financial authority responsible for developing and implementing effective pricing strategies for designated sales channels within our contract manufacturing division.

This role will collaborate closely with the commercial sales team to create viable business solutions that drive revenue growth and enhance profitability through comprehensive financial analysis, capability assessments, and detailed profit and loss projections.

Key responsibilities include adhering to established pricing frameworks, gaining a thorough understanding of the company's cost structure, and engaging with various stakeholders across the business unit, including Sales, Procurement, Product Development, and Supply Chain.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Collaborate with the Commercial team to deliver pricing insights, detailed financial analyses, and profit and loss modeling for new product initiatives, competitive proposals, contract evaluations, and capital investments.

2. Work alongside cross-functional departments to evaluate the effects of commodity price changes, manufacturing expenses, market trends, competitive factors, and operational constraints on pricing and profit margins.

3. Partner with Supply Chain Finance to understand production capabilities and key cost drivers to evaluate their impact on pricing and profitability, as well as explore alternative solutions for clients.

4. Collaborate with Product Development and Procurement to analyze the necessary ingredients for each product, associated costs, and potential alternatives for clients.

5. Ensure compliance with the company's pricing structures and processes, informed by insights from both internal and external sources, including competitive analysis, market research, customer feedback, commodity trends, and operational data.

6. Support new product initiatives through thorough financial analysis and modeling for new offerings and clients.

7. Engage with management at all levels to drive solutions that enhance product profitability.

8. Present findings on pricing strategies, customer profitability, and provide critical insights and recommendations.

9. Analyze changes in volume, mix, and pricing within assigned sales channels and key categories, summarizing trends in performance against prior periods, forecasts, and plans, while collaborating with FP&A and the Commercial team to accurately reflect these trends in budgeting and forecasting.

10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in beverage manufacturing or consumer packaged goods is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of information systems related to pricing strategy, profit and loss modeling, and margin analysis is preferred.

Position-specific Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Familiarity with PowerPoint and Word is essential, along with a willingness to learn additional software applications.
• Proven ability to conduct data analysis and develop analytical models, tools, and reports.
• Demonstrated history of continuous improvement in previous roles.
• Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency, capable of working under tight deadlines.
