Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance will serve as the financial authority responsible for orchestrating effective pricing strategies for their designated sales channel within the contract manufacturing segment of our operations.

This position will collaborate closely with the commercial sales team to devise sound business solutions aimed at driving sales growth and enhancing profitability through financial analysis, network capability assessments, and pro-forma profit and loss statements.

Key responsibilities include adhering to pricing methodologies, comprehending the company's cost structure, and engaging with various stakeholders within the business unit, including Sales, Procurement, Product Development, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with the Commercial team to deliver pricing recommendations, comprehensive financial analysis, and pro-forma P&L modeling for new product launches, competitive proposals, contract evaluations, and capital expenditure investments.

Engage with multiple cross-functional departments to evaluate the effects of commodity price changes, manufacturing expenses, market trends, competitive factors, and supply chain/operational limitations on pricing and profit margins.

Partner with Supply Chain Finance to understand plant capabilities and key manufacturing cost drivers to evaluate their impact on pricing and profitability, as well as explore potential alternatives for customers.

Work alongside Product Development and Procurement to grasp the necessary ingredients for each product, all associated costs, and possible alternatives for customers.

Adhere to the company's pricing frameworks, capabilities, and processes based on insights from both internal and external sources, including competitive dynamics, market trends, customer research, commodity trends, and operational data.

Support new product initiatives through thorough financial analysis and modeling for new products and customers.
Engage with all levels of management to drive solutions that enhance product profitability.
Deliver formal and informal presentations on pricing strategies, customer profitability, and provide critical insights and recommendations.
Analyze volume, mix, and pricing changes within the assigned sales channel and key categories.

Summarize trends regarding performance compared to previous years, forecasts, and plans, and collaborate with FP&A and the Commercial team to accurately reflect those trends in the budget and forecast.

Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue analytics, or a related field.
Experience in beverage manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is preferred.
Strong understanding of information systems related to pricing strategy, proforma P&L modeling, and margin analysis is preferred.

Position-specific Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Must be skilled in PowerPoint, Word, and eager to learn additional software applications.
Demonstrated ability in data mining and developing analytical models, tools, and reports.
Proven track record of continuous improvement in previous roles.
Results-driven with a sense of urgency, capable of working under deadline pressures.
