About the Role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly skilled Sales Compensation Strategy Lead to join its Sales Compensation Strategy Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sales incentive plans that drive revenue growth and adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of sales incentive plans for global sales teams
  • Engage in leadership discussions about sales strategy and sales incentives, using data analysis and compensation best practices to inform decision-making
  • Act as an internal consultant to sales leadership, providing expertise on sales strategies and incentive plan design
  • Orchestrate the sales incentives design process, ensuring timely decisions and conclusions to enable downstream processes
  • Present ideas effectively to senior leadership, influencing decisions and outcomes within tight timelines
  • Use data and analysis to model incentive plan effects and make recommendations
  • Ensure sales incentive plans are implementable via tools, process, and controls
About the Team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
