Job Summary:

The VP, Relationship Manager in the Private Client Services Department at Ocean Bank is primarily responsible for attracting and developing new business relationships for the bank and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies and plans.
  • Monitor and analyze client account activity to identify potential sales opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and bank policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance with five years of banking-related experience, or Associate's degree with a minimum of seven years of banking-related experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Advanced understanding of commercial banking and private banking relationships, including knowledge of bank operations, new accounts, payment processing, and related activities.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written, and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Software (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience working in a sales team with a high-quality service advocacy and a proven track record of achieving sales objectives.
  • Series 7 license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An in-depth knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and related regulations.
  • Knowledge of how to complete and maintain a comprehensive KYC client profile.
  • An in-depth understanding of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations.
