About the Role

Abiomed, a leading medical device company, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Technician II to join their team in Danvers, MA. As a key member of the manufacturing team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production lines, performing maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Order and validate manufacturing aids to enhance productivity and quality, and maintain stock of replacement parts.
  • Equipment Installation and Evaluation: Install and evaluate equipment performance to ensure it meets the required standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Update work status and recommend improvements, and contribute to equipment change requests and new process equipment evaluation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation experience preferred.
  • Regulated Industry Experience: Desired.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized electronic record maintenance.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity for small assemblies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles: Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • Machine Shop and Tool Usage: Basic machine shop and tool usage knowledge.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
