Job Summary:
Westaff is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products by conducting inspections and tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- CMM Operations: Operate Computer-Aided Measurement Machines (CMMs) to inspect and measure the dimensions of machined components.
- CMM Programming: Program CMMs to perform dimensional inspections on sheet metal components.
- Dimensional Inspections: Conduct dimensional inspections on machined and sheet metal components to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Customer Specifications: Interpret customer specifications and ensure that products meet those specifications.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate acceptance and rejection records.
- Corrective Action: Participate in the corrective/preventive action program to identify and resolve quality issues.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand product specifications on prints, 3 years of CMM operation and programming experience, experience using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Soft Skills: Effective interpersonal communication skills, experience with Excel.
