Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome residents, visitors, and team members with warmth and respect
- Uphold dignity, confidentiality standards, and advocate for resident rights
- Deliver delicious meals while ensuring resident satisfaction
- Document guest meals and communicate with the Business Office Director
- Identify departmental needs and relay concerns to the Culinary Services Director
- Assist in the preparation of special meals and events
- Ensure proper storage of food and supplies
- Support restaurant and server area operations and cleanliness
- Fulfill cleaning duties and maintain restaurant readiness
- Comply with community infection control protocols
- Engage in training and emergency preparedness activities
- Carry out other assigned tasks related to culinary services
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service and personal service skills
- Adept in team dynamics, inventory management, safety, and cleanliness
- Effective communicator and listener with strong written and verbal skills
- Understanding of food safety protocols, equipment sanitation, and storage
- Genuine passion for working with older adults and their families
Working Environment:
This role involves various physical demands, including standing, manual dexterity, and visual acuity. The Server may need to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
