Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Server to join our team within a senior living environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome residents, guests, and team members with warmth and respect.
- Uphold the dignity and confidentiality of all residents while promoting their rights.
- Deliver appetizing meals and ensure a high level of resident satisfaction.
- Document meal selections and communicate with the Business Office Director.
- Identify departmental needs and relay any concerns to the Culinary Services Director.
- Assist in the preparation of special events and meals.
- Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
- Support the operations and cleanliness of dining areas.
- Maintain cleanliness standards and readiness of the dining environment.
- Follow community infection control protocols.
- Engage in training and emergency preparedness activities.
- Perform additional duties related to culinary services as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to personal service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage inventory while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of food safety procedures and equipment sanitation.
- Genuine passion for working with older adults and their families.
Working Environment:
This position involves various physical demands, including standing for extended periods and manual dexterity. The Server may need to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
