Position Overview:
- Welcome residents, guests, and team members with warmth and respect
- Uphold dignity, confidentiality, and advocate for resident rights
- Deliver appetizing meals while ensuring resident satisfaction
- Document guest meal preferences and communicate with the Business Office Director
- Identify departmental needs and relay concerns to the Culinary Services Director
- Assist in the preparation of special events and meals
- Ensure proper storage of food and supplies
- Support restaurant and server area operations and cleanliness
- Fulfill cleaning responsibilities and maintain readiness of dining areas
- Comply with infection control policies
- Engage in training and emergency preparedness activities
- Perform additional tasks related to culinary services as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of team dynamics, inventory management, safety, and cleanliness
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of food safety protocols, equipment sanitation, and storage
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with older adults and their families
Work Environment:
This role involves various physical demands, including standing, manual dexterity, and visual acuity. The Server may need to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
