Position Title: Electrical Engineer II

Location: Wilmington, NC

Contract Duration: 9 Months

Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer II will primarily work in Wilmington, NC, with potential travel to various plants. This role involves hands-on support for the installation and modification of production equipment, ensuring efficient operations and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical installation support for new or updated production machinery.
  • Oversee and guide contract technicians and maintenance teams throughout the installation and conversion processes.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and process start-up for Electrical and Controls Systems.
  • Revise existing documentation to complete drawing packages and installation checklists.
  • Modify control programs for various equipment, including robotics and automated systems.
  • Evaluate existing equipment for compatibility with new installation plans.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in hands-on installation and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to analyze and enhance installation practices.
  • Capability to supervise and direct both internal and external teams during installation projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Strong hands-on aptitude and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Additional Information:
This position requires significant time spent on the production floor, engaging directly with equipment. Familiarity with various electronic testing equipment and control systems is preferred.
