Engineering Duties
As the lead engineer, you will:
- Develop and define manufacturing processes, collaborating with your team to deliver innovative solutions for efficient and compliant designs.
- Design and construct electrical and control systems for manufacturing equipment, including specifying components and generating detailed electrical drawings.
- Review and design manufacturing equipment and processes for new facilities, ensuring both mechanical and electrical aspects are considered.
- Support the electrical design of production facilities and manage vendor coordination for externally sourced equipment.
- Create conceptual designs and testing plans, developing systems to validate design concepts.
- Engage in process design reviews and assist in procurement activities.
- Assemble, install, and test equipment in pre-production environments, executing test plans to demonstrate performance and safety.
- Provide ongoing support through production implementation, including training personnel and generating necessary procedures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A 4-Year Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an Associate's Degree with significant experience in electrical/control processes.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical and controls equipment design.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and CAD software for generating electrical drawings.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform tasks such as walking up and down stairs, climbing ladders, and operating hand tools. Must be capable of lifting up to 20 lbs.
