- Directing and managing the complete payroll cycle for our organization, ensuring all payroll transactions are executed accurately and punctually.
- Establishing, maintaining, and evaluating payroll processing systems to guarantee timely and precise processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour regulations and best practices.
- Collaborating with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data.
- Addressing and resolving issues related to payroll production.
- Identifying, investigating, and rectifying discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
- Working closely with the HR team to ensure accuracy of benefits deductions.
- Generating reports for upper management, finance department, and auditors.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Developing and enforcing payroll policies and procedures.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience with Ceridian Dayforce is REQUIRED.
- A solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax and labor laws.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and create and review reports.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
