Job Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Compensation and Benefits Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of payroll operations and systems within our manufacturing organization. This position is ideal for a meticulous professional with a solid background in payroll management and familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or similar software. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and expanding company, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of our payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and supervising the complete payroll process for our organization, ensuring all payroll transactions are executed accurately and on time.
2. Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to guarantee timely and precise processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
3. Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour regulations and best practices.
4. Collaborating with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data.
5. Addressing and resolving issues related to payroll production.
6. Identifying, investigating, and rectifying discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
7. Working closely with the HR team to ensure the accuracy of benefits deductions.
8. Generating reports for upper management, finance department, and auditors.
9. Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
10. Developing and enforcing payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
2. Proven experience with Ceridian Dayforce is REQUIRED.
3. A solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax and labor laws.
4. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and create and review reports.
7. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
8. Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
10. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
11. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
