Guest Services Representative
Location: Shelborne South Beach
Overview:
The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests at Shelborne South Beach. This position is responsible for managing daily operations at the front desk, executing essential tasks, and fulfilling guest requests while embodying the hotel's values.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Guest Services Representative, your primary duties will include:
- Welcoming guests upon arrival and providing a warm, friendly atmosphere.
- Registering guests efficiently, confirming reservations, and verifying personal and payment information.
- Processing payments during check-in and check-out, maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
- Issuing keys and managing safety deposit box access.
- Documenting miscellaneous charges as requested by guests.
Attendance and Compliance:
Regular attendance is essential for the successful execution of this role. Adherence to company policies and attendance at scheduled training sessions is mandatory.
Supportive Duties:
In addition to the primary responsibilities, you may be required to assist with:
- Providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Making reservations for guests who approach the front desk.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computational and computer skills.
- Knowledge of the local area and hotel services.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, perform tasks in a fast-paced environment, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 lbs.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one to two years of experience in a front office role within the hospitality industry.
