Wayfinder Bishop is a charming retreat located in the scenic area of Bishop, CA. With 87 comfortable guest rooms and 600 sq ft of adaptable meeting space, our establishment is not just a workplace; it’s a welcoming environment that embodies the essence of Bishop. Position Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guiding and leading the Front Office team to ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered. Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicating both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
- Monitoring lobby activity and adjusting staffing levels as necessary.
- Welcoming guests with a warm and sincere greeting.
- Completing the registration process efficiently by entering and retrieving information from the computer system.
- Promoting the Pyramid Hotel Group marketing initiatives.
- Making informed room selections based on guest requirements.
- Handling cash transactions, balancing an assigned house bank, and processing various forms of payment.
- Responding promptly to telephone inquiries using clear and positive language.
- Resolving guest issues and complaints through thorough investigation and effective solutions.
- Maintaining composure during busy periods and emergency situations, serving as a role model for the Front Office team.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both internal and external customers.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Proficiency in using a moderately complex computer system for data entry and information retrieval.
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the front office area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to prepare detailed reports.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma is required, with some college education preferred. While prior experience is not mandatory, two years of combined front desk and supervisory experience is advantageous. All employees are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Additional Information:
Applicants with proficiency in additional languages are preferred. The hotel operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and flexibility in scheduling may be required based on business needs.
