Job Overview

Turtle and Hughes is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities to drive sales growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop solutions and proposals for prospective clients
  • Pursue new accounts and expand selling knowledge of existing sales personnel
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their goals and objectives
  • Cultivate leads for proactive sales generation activities
  • Facilitate specialized training of Industrial Applications for inside & outside salespeople
  • Participate in events/shows to promote Turtle and Hughes
  • Prepare and present effective proposals and presentation materials based upon thoughtful engagement and analysis of customer requirements
  • Conduct on-site assessments, bid meetings, and program implementation discussions as required

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in building relationships, leading, and working in Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Account Management, Integrated Supply, or similar practice
  • Industrial facilities and owner/operator c-suite selling experience
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution and renewables
  • High School Diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing ability, and presentation and verbal skills, with prior experience presenting in group settings and to senior management
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and/or cost projections desired
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; as well as digital platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter; ability to learn and work with other complementary software packages
  • Salesforce experience highly desirable
  • Aggressive sales personality, self-starter, able to motivate oneself
