POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Service Retail Specialist consistently provides an exceptional customer experience, employing consultative techniques to foresee customer requirements, propose alternatives, and deliver effective solutions. This service-oriented team member possesses comprehensive knowledge across all facets of the retail operation, including printing, signage, and logistics. Responsibilities include processing orders, coordinating in-store activities, delivering pricing and product details, and recommending suitable FedEx services and products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Collaboration

  • Adheres to supervisor directives and aids fellow team members in executing store operations.
  • Participates in the training and development of new team members.

Customer Engagement

  • Exhibits consultative behaviors in a retail setting to comprehend each customer's unique needs.
  • Offers expertise in printing, signage, and shipping services, recommending appropriate FedEx solutions.
  • Delivers an outstanding customer service experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensures swift resolution of customer issues to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Processes complex customer orders through order systems, providing precise pricing information.
  • Prepares items for shipping by assembling parcels, weighing packages, and affixing necessary labels.
  • Operates printing and binding equipment, utilizing customer-supplied media and documents.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized retail environment.

Financial Integrity

  • Safeguards customer data and manages documents and packages with care.
  • Handles financial transactions through a Point of Sale terminal, including cash management.
  • Maintains and stocks all retail printing and shipping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stays informed on merchandising materials and ensures proper display of products and signage.
  • Takes proactive measures to minimize errors and waste.
  • Completes necessary financial documentation and may assist with reporting, including daily sales and deposits.
  • Adheres to standard operating procedures and complies with legal, HR, safety, and security policies.

  • Effectively manages multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth within the retail environment.
  • Operates with minimal supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, excluding breaks.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Consistent ability to bend and twist as needed.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Maintains focus and attention for prolonged periods.
  • Regular attendance and adherence to established business hours are required.
