Position Overview:
The Program Effectiveness Specialist plays a crucial role within the College of Dental Medicine team.

This position involves planning, executing, and reporting on program evaluations for the College of Dental Medicine. The specialist will ensure that programs adhere to University policies, HRSA requirements, and all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the grant.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Plan, execute, and report on program evaluations and associated programmatic and administrative tasks under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research and the Project Manager to meet program goals and objectives.
2. Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, Project Manager, HRSA project personnel, staff, students, and partners in the planning, implementation, and reporting of program evaluations, including the development of work plans, scheduling, and data collection.
3. Engage with key project staff, partners, and stakeholders to gather data, ensure secure transfer and storage of data, and compile, analyze, and summarize data for review and reporting.
4. Provide comprehensive reports to University leadership, HRSA, partners, students, and other stakeholders regarding compliance, progress, performance, and program impacts.
5. Oversee compliance with University policies, HRSA requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the grant.
6. Research, develop, and implement innovative strategies to promote project outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
7. Accurately document time spent on program evaluation in accordance with HRSA/University requirements to ensure proper allocation of program costs.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in statistics, health education/promotion, or a public health-related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of relevant experience, including program planning and evaluation, or a combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge and skills is necessary. Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, are essential. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required; experience with statistical software, relational databases, and program evaluation is preferred. The ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating cultural competence and a commitment to equity and inclusion is vital.
