Position Overview:
The Program Effectiveness Specialist plays a vital role within the College of Dental Medicine team.
This position involves planning, executing, and reporting on program evaluations for the College of Dental Medicine. The specialist will ensure adherence to University policies, HRSA guidelines, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to grant management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and report on program evaluations, alongside administrative tasks, under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research and the Project Manager, to meet program objectives and outcomes.
2. Collaborate with the Associate Dean, Project Manager, HRSA project personnel, staff, students, and stakeholders in planning, executing, and reporting on program evaluations, including creating work plans, scheduling, and data collection.
3. Engage with key project staff and stakeholders to gather data, ensure proper data transfer and storage, and analyze and summarize data for reporting purposes.
4. Prepare and present reports to University leadership, HRSA, partners, students, and other stakeholders regarding compliance, progress, performance, and program impacts.
5. Provide oversight to guarantee the program's compliance with University policies, HRSA requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations related to grant funding.
6. Research and implement innovative strategies to promote project outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
7. Accurately document time spent on program evaluation in accordance with HRSA/University guidelines to ensure appropriate allocation of program costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in statistics, health education/promotion, or a related public health field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of three years of relevant experience, including program planning and evaluation, or a combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge and skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required; experience with statistical software and relational databases is preferred.
Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively while showing cultural competence and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
