Compensation:
$ per hour
Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Delivering professional, friendly, and proactive guest service while collaborating with colleagues
Preparing and serving all food items for a la carte and buffet menus in accordance with hotel recipes and standards
Baking breads, pies, cakes, and desserts as required
Assisting in the creation of new products, cake decoration, and dessert design
Actively contributing ideas and suggestions during daily briefings
Maintaining proper product rotation in chillers to minimize waste
Ensuring accuracy in storeroom requisitions
Possessing comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Adhering to kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards
Following all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Previous pastry experience is essential
Experience in a luxury hotel kitchen is preferred
Journeyman's papers or international equivalent required
A diploma or certification in a culinary discipline is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is beneficial
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Highly responsible and dependable
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Capacity to work cohesively as part of a team
Focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Requirements:
Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting
Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs, and ramps
