Founded by Dominique Crenn in January 2011, Atelier Crenn is a tribute to "poetic culinaria." The restaurant quickly earned its first Michelin Star and followed with a second the next year. Position Overview:
The Executive Pastry Chef will oversee all pastry kitchen operations at Atelier Crenn & Bar Crenn. This role involves providing expert guidance to the Pastry Sous Chef and leading the Pastry back-of-house team. The Executive Pastry Chef will ensure adherence to food quality standards and compliance with food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness regulations. In collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine and the Director of Operations, they will execute the culinary goals and overall vision of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create and implement innovative menus for daily service and special events.
- Recipe Management: Maintain updated menu descriptions and prep lists for both back-of-house and front-of-house use.
- Quality Control: Ensure all recipes are documented and standardized within the company software.
- Sanitation Oversight: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene in the kitchen.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage all pastry team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
