Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Riverside Regional Jail in North Prince George, VA. As a Nurse Practitioner with YesCare, you will provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive medical services.
Responsibilities- Provide routine and emergency medical care to patients, including sick call, chronic care, and emergency services.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Order and perform laboratory studies, X-rays, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Initiate consultation requests and non-formulary requests with supervisory physician approval.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment options, and health promotion.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and sentinel event reviews.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including those related to medication management and patient confidentiality.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Virginia.
- Certification in the scope of practice.
- Competency to perform responsibilities as defined by state practice act.
- Current CPR certification.
- Background check, security clearance, and drug screening required.
