Responsibilities include a variety of patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, establishing and maintaining peripheral intravenous (PIV) access, administering injections, and meticulously documenting patient interactions.
Our organization is dedicated to improving patient care and access to infusion therapies. We focus on personalized infusion treatments that prioritize comfort and convenience, offering a wide array of therapies including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectable medications.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct patient consultations and assess health histories.Verify that prescribed therapies align with patient needs.Perform necessary physical examinations and screenings.Order, interpret, and administer relevant tests, including blood work.Provide continuous care information and educational materials to patients and their families.Administer direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, PIV insertion, monitoring, and removal, as well as administering subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.Manage PICC line and midline care, including maintenance and removal.Follow sterile techniques when preparing and mixing medications according to established guidelines.Document all patient care activities in the infusion suite, including lab results and changes in patient condition.Communicate effectively with referring providers regarding patient care and medication administration.Oversee inventory management and coordinate orders from approved vendors and pharmacies.Track and manage patient-specific medications from specialty pharmacy providers, ensuring proper storage conditions.Monitor and maintain infusion suite equipment, promptly reporting any issues.Participate in company inventory processes as per policy.Utilize InfuseFlow for inventory management, including cycle counts.Delegate tasks to other team members when appropriate.Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years of nursing experience.Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.Current, unrestricted state nurse practitioner license.Demonstrated history of satisfactory performance in previous roles, with positive references.Thorough understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and INS regulations.Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, vendors, and patients.Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.Proficient in using company email, Microsoft Teams, and electronic medical records.Competent in utilizing self-service payroll software for timekeeping and benefits.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and navigating web browsers.Familiarity with CPR+, InfuseFlow, and RX Tool Kit.Awareness of cultural and language differences in patient care delivery.Strong mathematical skills, particularly in medication calculations to ensure safe and accurate administration.
