Water Systems Project Engineer

The Water Systems Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing complex projects, functioning autonomously with minimal oversight. This position is integral to the organization’s engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops comprehensive Water System Plans.
2. Prepares detailed Project Reports and Construction Documentation.
3. Provides mentorship and guidance to Technicians.
4. Formulates cost estimates for Improvement Project construction.
5. Aids in crafting the annual budgets for capital improvement programs.
6. Conducts hydraulic calculations and assessments, utilizing hydraulic modeling techniques.
7. Participates in meetings with clients and regulatory bodies.
8. Guides draftspersons and technicians in refining field notes and producing working drawings.
9. Inspects construction sites to ensure compliance with construction documents.
10. Engages with applicants and evaluates system growth for proposed developments.
11. Executes Project Management responsibilities, including schedule and budget oversight.
12. Contributes to the organization's Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects.
13. Prepares and reviews bid specifications.
14. Manages construction or consultant activities, including change orders, invoices, inspections, and requests for information.
15. Develops and tracks the scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
16. Utilizes financial software to accurately monitor project expenditures throughout the construction phase.
17. Performs additional duties as required.
18. Attends meetings and training sessions as directed by the organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years of relevant engineering experience.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- Valid Driver License.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
$78,900 - $145,900
