Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SOC Leader to lead a team of highly-skilled analysts responsible for delivering world-class cybersecurity services and solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, a strategic mindset, and strong experience managing and enhancing incident response or MDR programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute a Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a strategic vision for the team within the managed detection and response space.
  • Lead MDR Services Design and Implementation: Provide leadership in the design and implementation of MDR services, ensuring they align with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of consulting analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Recruitment and Hiring: Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of analysts to ensure a high level of technical expertise and operational efficiency.
  • Develop Performance Management Processes: Develop and implement performance management processes, including regular assessments, goal-setting, and professional development plans.
  • Client Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Collaborate with clients to tailor MDR services to their specific requirements and provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity posture.
  • Lead Incident Response: Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Conduct Investigations: Conduct in-depth investigations into security events, providing analysis and recommendations for remediation.
  • Improve SOC Capabilities: Drive the improvement of SOC capabilities, processes, and technologies to enhance detection and response capabilities.
  • Stay Current on Cybersecurity Trends: Work closely with technology partners to stay abreast of the latest tools and methodologies in the MDR landscape.
  • Develop and Maintain KPIs: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of MDR services.
  • Generate Reports: Generate regular reports for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure MDR services comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement Feedback Loops: Implement feedback loops and improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ Years of Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role overseeing incident response/SOC services.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep Technical Expertise: Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity.
  • Proven Ability to Hire and Manage Teams: Proven ability to hire, supervise, and manage high-performance teams.

Bonus Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with MDR Platforms: Experience working with MDR platforms.
