Unlike typical CSR positions, you will cultivate lasting business relationships through consistent communication and consultation. In this service and parts center, our ability to secure and retain customer loyalty often hinges on your capacity to promptly and effectively deliver the precise parts and solutions they require—especially during critical equipment failures. Occasionally, you may also apply your mechanical skills to assist in resolving customer issues or optimizing processes.

Some of your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing assistance to customers via phone and in-person interactions at our facility
  • Utilizing your customer service skills to identify their needs, conduct research, and (once you are fully trained) recommend appropriate parts
  • Maintaining focus and determination to meet or exceed monthly sales targets while enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Processing quotes, taking orders, and delivering post-order support
  • Carrying out various warehouse tasks such as receiving and verifying incoming materials, managing stock areas, preparing sales orders, and ensuring accuracy in merchandise verification
  • Adhering to a daily schedule, work orders, and both verbal and written instructions
  • Operating motor trucks, hand and mobile lift equipment, simple hand and power tools, weighing scales, and postage meters
  • Driving company vehicles for order pickups and deliveries, as well as sorting assignments for optimal routing
  • Maintaining a clean driving record

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Customer Service Representatives are self-driven individuals motivated by a desire to surpass expectations. They possess strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, a sense of urgency, and take pride in their verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish rapport and build solid relationships with a diverse range of customers are essential.

Specific qualifications for this role include:

  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience preferred
  • A willingness to expand knowledge in industrial distribution products
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Aptitude and eagerness to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Enjoyment in working with computers, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook & Excel) and comfort with online search engines
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR)
  • Experience with SAP / ERP systems is preferred but not mandatory
  • Some familiarity with industrial distribution products and hydraulics is preferred but not mandatory
