Some of your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers via phone and in person at our facility
- Utilizing your customer service skills to identify their needs, conduct research, and recommend appropriate parts once you are fully trained
- Maintaining focus and determination to meet or exceed monthly sales targets while enhancing customer satisfaction
- Processing quotes, taking orders, and providing post-order support
- Performing various warehouse tasks, including receiving and verifying incoming materials, maintaining stock areas, preparing sales orders, and ensuring accuracy in merchandise verification
- Working from a daily schedule, following work orders, and adhering to verbal and written instructions
- Using motor trucks, hand and mobile lift equipment, simple hand and power tools, weighing scales, and postage meters
- Operating a company vehicle for order pickups and deliveries, sorting assignments, and planning the most efficient routes
- Maintaining a clean driving record
QUALIFICATIONS
Our Customer Service Representatives are self-driven individuals who strive to exceed expectations. They possess strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, a sense of urgency, and take pride in their verbal and written communication skills. Building rapport and establishing solid relationships with a diverse range of customers is essential.
Specific qualifications for this role include:
- Preferred: 6 months of customer service experience
- A desire to expand knowledge in industrial distribution products
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Aptitude and eagerness to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Enjoyment in working with computers, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook & Excel) and comfort with online research
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR)
- SAP / ERP experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Some familiarity with industrial distribution products and hydraulics is preferred but not mandatory
