Job Overview

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing production processes through innovative technology and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement technological advancements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Design and establish manufacturing cells for handling, assembly, testing, and secondary finishing operations for injection molded components.
  • Program PLCs, 6 Axis Industrial Robots, Cartesian robots, and Collaborative robots to facilitate production and automation processes.
  • Develop and procure necessary assembly tools and performance testing equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Create mechanical and electrical systems to automate the production and testing of injection molded parts using advanced 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and the Automation Lab to guide the assembly of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for automation systems.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing labor costs and increasing production efficiency.
  • Work closely with department managers to meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Diagnose and resolve production and quality issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to new product estimates where automation of secondary processing and assembly operations is required.
  • Develop and implement work instructions, workflow analyses, and training procedures; review and draft manufacturing-related documentation as necessary.
  • Design and construct fixtures and tools essential for the production of customer products.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in MET or EET may be considered.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies, work cell design, and assembly methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics, robotics, and automation technologies.

Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) - On-site.
