Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement advanced technologies to optimize manufacturing processes, aiming to boost productivity while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Design and establish manufacturing cells for effective part handling, assembly, testing, and finishing operations, particularly for injection molded products.
- Program various automation systems, including PLCs and industrial robots, to facilitate production and enhance operational workflows.
- Oversee the development and acquisition of necessary assembly tools and testing equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Create mechanical and electrical designs to automate the production and testing of injection molded components using 3D CAD software.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams and automation labs to assemble control systems that integrate with diverse robotic and production machinery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing labor costs and increasing production efficiency, while identifying and implementing new automation technologies.
- Work closely with department managers to align with daily and weekly production goals.
- Diagnose and resolve production and quality issues as they arise, ensuring smooth operational flow.
- Contribute to new product evaluations where automation and assembly processes are involved.
- Develop and implement comprehensive work instructions, workflow analyses, and training materials, while reviewing and updating manufacturing procedures as necessary.
- Design and construct fixtures and tools essential for the production of client products.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with significant experience in MET or EET may also be considered.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks being the preferred tool.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies, work cell organization, and assembly methodologies.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics, robotics, and automation technologies.
Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) - On-site.
